We have recently been involved in this social housing project and were responsible for the design and detailing for 8 x 2 bedroom timber framed houses in Jacksdale.
The site was re-developed from a dis-used allotment for Waterloo Housing.
The dwellings were timber framed with brickwork outer leaf and tiled roofs.
Due to the speed of which timber frame goes up, the project finished more than one month ahead of programme by local house builders: Griffiths Services and Developments, Codnor Park.
The dwellings are super energy efficient with very high levels of insulation.
Secure by design was also approved for this site as well as achieving Code for sustainable homes.
New build house design across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire covers everything from a first plot survey through to full building regulation drawings: working out what a site's levels, drainage and boundaries will actually take, then designing a dwelling that fits it.
