We've designed over a thousand projects since 2000. Around fifty a year, every year, across Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and the East Midlands.
What follows is a selection. Not all of it, and not the most recent of it either, because for a long stretch we couldn't update the old website. There's newer work coming onto here as we photograph it.
What sort of work do we do?
Six categories, and they cover most of what comes through the door.
Single storey extensions. Rear extensions, side extensions, wrap arounds, sun lounges, kitchen extensions. The bread and butter of domestic work and the thing we're asked about most.
Two storey extensions. More complicated, more constrained by planning, and usually the better answer where a family needs bedrooms rather than living space.
New builds. Individual houses on plots, and small housing schemes for developers. We've done timber frame, traditional masonry, and everything from a bungalow replacement to a five bedroom detached.
Conversions. Barns, lofts, garages, and buildings being turned into something they weren't. This is where the interesting projects are.
Industrial projects. Factory units, warehousing, starter units, offices. We've been specialists in this since the beginning and it's a bigger part of what we do than most people expect.
Leisure and tourism. Caravan parks, equestrian centres, golf clubs. Less common, but the ones we've done are some of the most enjoyable projects we've had.
Where have you worked?
Mostly within half an hour of Alfreton. Swanwick, Belper, Ripley, Heanor, Codnor, South Normanton, Selston, Somercotes, Riddings, Heage, Pinxton, Smalley, Horsley Woodhouse, Whatstandwell, Marehay.
Regularly in Derby and Nottingham. Allestree, Chaddesden, and across both cities.
And further out when the project suits. We've designed schemes in Chesterfield, Mansfield, and well beyond the East Midlands, including Lancashire, South Yorkshire, Teesside and Somerset.
Why don't you show addresses?
Deliberately. These are people's homes, and a photograph next to a road name tells anybody who's looking exactly which house has just had a large extension put on it.
So you'll see the type of project and the town, and that's it. If you want to see a project near you, ask us on the phone.
Can I see something similar to what I'm planning?
Probably. Pick the category closest to your project and have a look through. If you don't see anything like it, ring us anyway. A thousand projects don't fit on a website, and we've almost certainly done something close.
