Belper
Originally, this site formed part of a large garden to an existing bungalow with a total site area of 0.25 Acres.
ABDS was engaged to divide off part of the large garden into a separate building plot and obtain planning permission for a detached three bedroom bungalow.
The design not only complimented the style of the adjacent bungalows (which had been built within the past five years), but also had to work around a sloping site.
The site levels influenced where the Dining Room and Lounge were positioned, as the Client wanted French doors opening directly onto the garden.
A new site access was formed off an existing turning head, with a gravel driveway/vehicle standing area and mainly lawned gardens.
Elevationally, the roof tiles and facing materials all matched as closely as possible to the neighbouring bungalow. Coursed Stonework with a brickwork 2 course feature band and brickwork quoin corners were provided as a feature..
